Mortgage Interest Rates improved
about .05% over the past 7 days
with the Mortgage Backed Security
Market trading up + 10 bps.
Below are your average interest rates
across the country according to
Mortgage News Daily.
Last week had 2 big inflation
reports released. The Consumer
Price Index and the Producer
Price Index.
The CPI Inflation report showing
Year Over Year inflation at 2.7%.
And Core Year over Year inflation
at 2.9%. These numbers were
slightly higher than expected.
The Producer Price Index came in
slightly lower than expectations with
Producer inflation coming in at 2.3%
Year over Year, and Core PPI at 2.6%.
Overall, inflation numbers are a bit
above where the FED wants them.
The FED’s current monetary policy
is considered restrictive to help keep
inflation low. The FED meets again
on July 30th, 2025. Most are not
expecting a rate cut.

THE 5-YEAR RULE FOR HOME PRICES
Are you worried about home prices
falling? Some consumers are
concerned about home prices dropping
since some areas of the country
have shown a slight decline in
values over the past year.
In Real Estate we have something
called the 5-year rule. What this
means is if you own a home for 5
years, you almost always come out
ahead as appreciation over that 5
years will almost always outweigh
a short-term dip in prices.
See video below going over the
data that supports the long-term
investment gains of Real Estate –
America’s favorite investment.
